Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be satisfied with StockSignal. This policy explains how cancellation and refunds work for our subscription service.
1. Free Trial
All new accounts start with a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required to begin your trial.
- You can cancel at any time during the trial at no cost
- If you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged
- If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account will be downgraded and alert functionality will be suspended. You will not be charged
2. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time using either method:
- Self-service: Log in to your account, go to Settings, and select "Cancel Subscription"
- Email: Send a cancellation request to support@usestocksignal.com from the email address associated with your account
Cancellation requests sent by email are processed within 1 business day. You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is processed.
3. What Happens When You Cancel
- Your subscription will remain active through the end of your current billing period
- You will continue to have full access to all features until your billing period ends
- No further charges will be made after cancellation
- After your billing period ends, your account will be downgraded and alert functionality will be suspended
- Your account and data will be retained for 30 days after downgrade, allowing you to resubscribe without losing your settings
4. Refund Policy
Monthly Subscriptions
Because StockSignal is a monthly subscription service at $4.99/month with a free trial, we generally do not offer refunds for partial months. When you cancel, you retain access through the end of your paid billing period.
Exceptions
We will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:
- Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charges, charges after cancellation), we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charges
- Extended service outage: If a service outage lasting more than 72 consecutive hours prevents you from using StockSignal, you may request a pro-rated refund for the affected period
- First month dissatisfaction: If you are unsatisfied within the first 7 days of your first paid month (after the free trial), you may request a full refund of that month's charge
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email support@usestocksignal.com with:
- Your account email address
- The reason for your refund request
- The billing period(s) in question
We aim to respond to refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days.
5. Resubscribing
If you cancel and later decide to resubscribe:
- Within 30 days: Your previous settings and configuration will be restored
- After 30 days: You will need to set up your account again, including re-authorizing your Square account connection
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date on this page and notifying active subscribers by email.
